Assalamualaikum wr. wb.

First of all, let's say thanks to Allah for giving us health, so we can attend this occasion. Shalawat and prayers always be given to our Prophet Muhammad SAW who has guided us from the darkness to the brightness.

I'm standing here to deliver my speech, and the title is "how dangerous drugs for us". Thausands of young men in our country have wasted their lifes because of illicit drugs. They were mostly a victims of a 'cruel' environment, broken-home family, ignorance, or curiousity.



People usually take drugs to escape the pressures of life. Ironically, drug users are also students. It shows us how familiar "Narkoba" issues in our young generation. First, we should know what's the meaning of drugs addiction. Drugs addiction is a complex brain disease. It characterized by complusive, at times uncontrollable, drug carving, seeking, and use that persist even in the face of extremely negative consequences. It will disturbs the brain functions and also behavior.

This is an extremely serious problem for us. It's threat that can kill the whole generation. One generation of this nation will lose if we do not take action together immediately. So, we must be ready to go war against illicit drugs.

Then, what can we do as the young generation? Prevention is better than cure. Avoid the drugs, don't ever think to try just because you're curious. Because if you try, you will be trapped and later become addicted, and the addiction will turn you into criminal, or take your life. We have so many examples around us, what happened to the drug users. They become crazy, they go to the jail, even they are died. All of them lose their future. I believe we don't want such things happen to ourselves.

Now, it's time for us to say NO to drugs. It's time for us to arrange our future. It's time for us to face the world with our ability. It's time for us to prove that we can do something for our country.
